WHY
Because creativity won’t scale without infrastructure.
Creative industries in Finland are full of talent, but lack the structures and places to grow. Work happens often in fragments across temporary spaces, short-term projects, and disconnected networks. While other sectors have built strong ecosystems and infrastructure, creative work is still missing a shared home.
ODDspace is a step toward changing that. Starting with a pilot in Sture697, we are exploring what a true home for creative work could look like and how it can scale into long-term infrastructure for the creative economy in Helsinki and beyond.
WHAT
A mix of:
-
cultural hub
-
co-working workspace
-
studio environment
-
gallery and event platform
-
meeting place for ideas
Everything is built around one simple idea; connecting the right people and ideas to unlock what’s next.
HOW
A space shaped by the people inside it. A shared environment that evolves with the community.
Built with and for the people who move between disciplines.
Artists who build businesses. Entrepreneurs who work with culture. Designers, producers, curators, writers, thinkers, and builders. The creative ODDballs.
A NEW
A place where creative life, work & community can thrive
CIRCULAR ECONOMY BLOCK
DEVELOPED IN VALLILA
LEARN MORE
A NEW KIND OF CITY BLOCK
The project aims to transform an underused industrial block into a dense urban environment where housing, work, culture, and public life exist side by side.
The development combines new construction with reuse of existing structures and materials, following circular economy principles across the entire block.
The goal is simple; build a greener, more vibrant piece of city where creative life, work, and community can thrive.
WHY VALLILA
Vallila has long been one of Helsinki’s most culturally active neighborhoods. Old industrial buildings, studios, music venues, small businesses, and creative communities already shape the area.
ODDspace grows directly out of that ecosystem.
